
The millage rate for the city of Gassville will remain the same for another year. During its regular September meeting Tuesday night, the Gassville City Council voted unanimously to keep the millage rate at 5 mills.
The council heard the first reading of an ordinance to set minimum and maximum salaries to meet the new minimum wage requirements. The ordinance will come up for its second reading in October.
The council also heard the first reading of an ordinance regarding the issuance of new business occupation licenses in Gassville, according to mayor Jeff Braim.

Braim says the council tabled action considering a new heating and air conditioning system for the community center, after only two bids were received.
The council also approved spending nearly $4,300 to seal the parking areas and basketball court at the Gassville City Park.
