Dan Smalley is a country music singer/songwriter originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. According to Dreamline Entertainment, he has been playing music for nearly two and a half decades, and he’s been writing music for the last 12 years. Smalley grew up with musical influences spanning from honky-tonk and country and western to gospel, rhythm and blues and classic rock. His sound has often been described as part of the recent “real country” movement with the likes of Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and others.

There will be some Bridge Bash activities underway prior to the opening ceremonies. The Paddle for Hunger Kayak Race will be held at Big Spring Park in downtown Cotter with registration starting at 8 a.m., and the race will start an hour later. The 5k Run for Hunger will be held at the university’s main gate with the same start times as the kayak race.

Registration for the disc golf tournament will begin at 8:30 at the first hole behind Roller Hall, and the tournament will get underway at 9. In addition, the Bridge Bash Rides Car, Truck and Bike Show will begin at 9 south of the main gate, and the awards will be given at 3 on the main stage.

With the opening ceremony at 10, the festival will open with food and merchandise vendors and the kids’ korner. The Baggo tournament will be held in the Baggo tent near the kids’ korner with registration beginning at 10:30 and the tournament starting at 11. A dog costume contest will be held at 11 in the kids’ korner.

A silent auction will be held in the auction tent from 10 to 2. There will also be a live auction in the tent beginning at noon.

There will be four different shifts for volunteers to package meals scheduled for 11, 12:30, 2 and 3:30. Anyone looking to volunteer can contact the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas at 870-499-7565.

Between the performances of the Kattie Laney Project and Dan Smalley, the Stand Up for Hope Ceremony will begin at 5:30 on the main stage. Quick says he wants to thank the communities of North Central Arkansas for their continued support.
