Mountain Home School Board approves expanded charter renewal

The Mountain Home School Board, during its regular September meeting Thursday night, approved the charter renewal for the Mountain Home Career Academies. The charter must be renewed with the state every five years. Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says they added something new to the renewal application this year.

In other action items, the board approved nearly $31,000 for the purchase of a new Dodge Ram truck for use in the district, $13,400 for 15 MacBook Air laptop computers for the computer science class, they approved adding additional duties for the auxiliary services director and approved the minority teacher/administrator recruitment plan.
