The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a temporary closure of one lane across Norfork Dam to maintain its tainter gates. The closure on Arkansas Highway 177 will be Tuesday through Friday from 8 to 5 each day, weather permitting.
The closure was coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies. Motorists traveling in the area of Norfork Dam should expect delays, obey traffic lights and drive cautiously around equipment and work crews.
