Former Mountain Home Mayor and Baxter County Judge Joe Dillad will speak on the topic of “Changes in the Community in the Last 50 Years” at Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society. The meeting will be held at 6 in the Knox Room of the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County, located at 300 Library Hill in Mountain Home.
Dillard grew up in the area and is well known for his many years of public service. His additional roles include an appointment by former Governor Tucker to manage the State Office of Emergency Services and serving on the Mountain Home School Board, Mountain Home Home City Council and as regional representative for former Congressman Marion Barry, plus serving on various local boards. He has been married to his wife, Mary Ann, for over 58 years.
The Baxter County Historical Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6. Most meetings are held at the Donald W. Reynolds Library. Meetings are free and open to the public.
