Two Mountain Home residents are in the Baxter County Detention Center accused of breaking into a Baxter County home. Thirty-six-year-old Jason Frye and and 24-year-old Ariel Beck are facing multiple felonies with bond set at $10,000 each.

According to the probable cause affidavit, an alarm was activated in the early afternoon of Sept. 12 at a residence on Hicks Road. The owner of the residence is from Indiana and was alerted of the alarm. He said he watched the residence on his computer and spotted a white male and female on the security camera. Deputies later responded and found the front door ajar and damage to the front yard and a security camera, but the suspects were not there.

The victim emailed pictures from the security footage. He also put the pictures on social media and later received a tip claiming the suspects were Frye and Beck. Their identities were later confirmed by a Baxter County investigator. The victim sent pictures of the damage, and between the yard items and the camera, the total value is reportedly over $1,200.

Frye allegedly contacted the victim by social media and said he thought the residence belonged to a guy owing him money. He said he went by the residence Sept. 7 and knocked on the door, with no answer. Frye says he returned five days later, and the door came open after he knocked on it. He claims he damaged the property believing he was getting revenge on the person he thought lived there. The victim says he saw the video of the suspect knocking on the door Sept. 7. While the door did not come open that day, it did Sept. 12.

Frye and Beck are both facing charges of residential burglary and criminal mischief. Frye was also charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Beck has also been charged with a felony count of forgery in a different case. She is accused of taking a money order inadvertently left on the counter at a local business.
