A Marion County man, 40-year-old Torie Gene Ply of Summit, has received a 10-year prison sentence in Marion County Circuit Court through a negotiated plea to drug-related charges.
Online court documents filed last week indicate Ply entered a guilty plea to felony charges of maintaining a drug premises, possession with purpose to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ply was originally charged with six felony counts, including three of endangering the welfare of a minor.
In June, Ply and 25-year-old Ashley Coniglio of Mountain Home were arrested, with three children taken into the custody of the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
At the time of the arrest, Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans said officers from his department, the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Flippin and Harrison police departments executed a search warrant at Ply’s residence. Ply was on felony probation with an active search warrant on file.
Officers allegedly seized methamphetamine, oxycodone, hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia, including meth pipes, small plastic baggies, and scales, during the search.
Coniglio’s case remains open in Marion County Circuit Court.
