The annual Cotter Neighborhood Block Parties is set for this Saturday, from 4 until 8. The event is a community-law enforcement relationship building initiative.
The intent is to get a group of friends and neighbors together, have a potluck, grill burgers, or enjoy a full-on buffet, with the aim of getting out and fellowship to meet neighbors and get to know city law enforcement and first responders.
Parties are being hosted by Jason and Kammi Nazarenko, located at 210 South Street; Chris and Vickie Francis, located at 496 Wallick Drive; and Jim and Sheila Wingard, located at 225 Melba Avenue.
Other parties are being hosted by Mayor Mac and Julia Caradine, located at 620 Powell Street; First Baptist Church, located at Fourth and Dalton Avenue; and VFW Post #5742, American Legion #23 and Country Aire Apartments, located at 1779 Harding Boulevard.
