A Howell County man was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday morning in Gainesville. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 69-year-old Ralph Alkire of Willow Springs was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries.
Alkire was traveling on U.S. Highway 160 when he crossed the centerline. His motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Alkire was reportedly not wearing a helmet.
Alkire’s motorcycle had moderate damage in the 10:40 a.m. accident.
