
The Mountain Home cross country teams had a great showing Tuesday on their home course for the Bomber Invitational, with one team win and three individual runners who crossed the finish line first.
The Mountain Home high school boys posted a perfect score to win the team title. Mountain Home had seven of the top eight runners in the race, which was cut short because of the weather. Mountain Home had 15 points, while second place West Plains was second with 50 and Highland was third.
Andrew Westphal finished first, Whit Lawrence was second, Jacob Pyeatt was third, Ky Bickford finished fourth, Bob Allen was fifth, Tyler Sosnowski finished seventh and Anderson Hodges was eighth.
In the senior girl’s race, Mountain Home’s Marcie Cudworth was the first to cross the finish line. Rylee Patterson finished third.
Harrison won the team event with four runners in the top ten to score 35 points, while Mountain Home was second with 46 points.
Mountain Home also had the individual winner in the junior boy’s race as Hendrix Hughes crossed the finish line first. Flippin’s Dominic Sellers was second.
West Plains won the team event. Mountain Home finished fourth.
In the junior girl’s race, Mountain Home was led by Whitney Wilbur in ninth place and Mackenzie Clark in tenth place. The individual winner was Anna Spurlock of Marshall.
Harrison won the team title. Mountain Home was fifth.
