
It’s homecoming night for the Mountain Home High School football team. The Bombers will continue conference play, as they face Marion.
Mountain Home is 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in the 6A-East. The Bombers suffered a 15-point loss at Jacksonville last week. Marion is 2-4 and 1-2. The Patriots were edged out by Searcy last Friday.
Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says his team is facing a Marion squad with several weapons on offense.

Kickoff at Bomber Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Coverage begins around 5:30, with Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday.
Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy travels to Pine Bluff, Jonesboro hosts West Memphis, and Jacksonville makes the short trip to Sherwood to meet Sylvan Hills.
Yellville-Summit’s homecoming game is also set for this week. The Panthers’ opponent Friday night will be Clinton.
Yellville-Summit is 0-6 on the year and 0-2 in the 3A-2. The Panthers stepped outside of conference play a week ago, when they fell to Rector. Clinton is 5-1 and 2-1. The Yellowjackets beat up on Cedar Ridge last week.
Kickoff at Panther Field is slated for 7 p.m.
Also in the 3A-2, Melbourne entertains Harding Academy, Marshall is home against Mountain View, and Cedar Ridge heads to Rose Bud.
Elsewhere on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem hosts Marked Tree, and Harrison entertains Greenbrier. The Goblins are ranked sixth in the state overall and second in Class 5A by the Arkansas Sports Media.
Friday marks the next-to-last week of the regular season in Missouri. Among area schools, West Plains travels to Springfield to take on Central, Hollister makes the trip to Logan-Rogersville, Forsyth heads to Strafford, Branson is home against Carl Junction, Ava hosts Cabool, Willow Springs travels to Thayer, Mountain View-Liberty entertains Salem, Missouri, and Mountain Grove makes the trip to Houston.
