A pair of Mountain Home High School athletes were victorious to begin the Overall State Tennis Tournament Monday morning at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Sarah Godfrey and Macie Heide won their opening match in straight sets, as they beat Lowery West and Anne Marie DeLuca of Episcopal Collegiate 7-5 and 6-3. Godfrey and Heide will advance to the semifinals and meet Sarah Schneringer and Kristyn Tappana of Bentonville West Tuesday at 9 a.m.
