Due to the possibility of rain and storms this weekend, Saturday’s Arvest Bank/Genuine Care Pharmacy Charity Golf Tournament at Big Creek Golf and Country Club has been cancelled. This year’s event will not be rescheduled.
Proceeds from this year’s annual tournament benefit nonprofit organizations in North Central Arkansas. This year’s benefit organizations include Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Baxter County, Sanctuary, Inc., of Harrison, the School of New Hope, Inc., of Yellville and Serenity, Inc.
Sponsors and registered golfers may donate their fees to beneifit the nonprofit organizations or receive a refund. Genuine Care Pharmacy is donating the $3,000 from their sponsorship to benefit the nonprofits, and Arvest Bank will match that gift.
Arvest Bank has set the date for the 2020 tournament for Aug. 29 at Big Creek.
