There was plenty of high school basketball Saturday in Norfork, as the Twin Rivers Classic came to an end.
The host teams did not fare well as both took on another set of Panthers from Bergman. Norfork fell in the boys’ game 53-49. Bergman also took the girls’ contest 50-37.
In the other games, Cotter’s boys lost to Deer 77-63, the St. Joe boys fell to Alpena 55-43, and Timbo’s boys lost to South Side-Bee Branch 66-43.
Cotter picked up a pair of victories on the opening day of the Jasper Junior High Tournament.
The Junior Lady Warriors eliminated the host Junior Lady Pirates with a 39-11 decision. Morgan Zick led Cotter with 11 points.
The Cotter boys also advanced to the next round. The Junior Warriors topped Lead Hill 41-10.
