State tournament play will begin this week for high school volleyball, and four local teams will be in action Monday.
Mountain Home will be in the Class 5A State Tournament in Hot Springs with Lakeside serving as the host school. The Lady Bombers will go in as the runners-up from the 5A-East, and their first opponent on Tuesday will be Russellville. The Lady Cyclones are the third-seeded team from the West. The start time is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Bank OZK Arena.
Yellville-Summit will be the host school and represent the Twin Lakes Area, as one of three local teams in the Class 2A State Tournament. Cotter will get the action started on Court 1 at 1 p.m., as they meet Decatur. On Court 2, the Lady Panthers will face Lavaca at 3, and Flippin takes on Alpena at 7.
