John Oates playing Johnny Cash tribute show in Nashville next month

Courtesy of The Best FestHall & Oates John Oates is part of an eclectic lineup of music artists who will perform at Cash Fest, a tribute show to late country legend Johnny Cash taking place November 10 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville.

The bill also includes Johnny’s son John Carter Cash, and John Carter’s wife, Ana Cristina; Johnny’s stepdaughter Carlene Carter, who will perform with The Carter Family; country stars Little Big Town, Midland and Cam; actor/singer Dennis Quaid; Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell; pop-rocker Elle King; and rock singer Grace Potter.

Cash Fest is being held in conjunction with the new documentary The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash, which premieres November 11 on YouTube. Net proceeds from the event will benefit MusiCares, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy, which provides medical, financial and personal assistance to in-need music community members. The show is the latest in an ongoing series of tribute events curated by The Best Fest, which also has organized concerts paying homage to Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Neil Young, George Harrison, Brian Wilson and The Rolling Stones.

Oates has a series of fall concerts on his 2019 schedule with his solo backing group The Good Road Band. Here they are:
