
Authorities in Izard County are investigating another shooting incident that has sent a man to the hospital. The shooting, which occurred early Monday morning, is the second shooting incident in the county in the last 11 days.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office says they were notified at 5:45 Monday morning about the shooting near the 1200 block of Knob Creek Road, which is northwest of Melbourne. When deputies arrived, the found 30-year-old Kyle Cantrell of Melbourne who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Cantrell was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 870-368-4203.
