An Izard County man, 58-year-old Ronald Wolfe of Violet Hill, is being held on drug and weapon-related charges, following his arrest Friday.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday, officers from the Izard County Sheriff’s Office and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force served a search warrant for firearms at Wolfe’s residence off Mabry Lane. Wolfe has previous felony convictions.
During the course of the search, officers saw several baggies of green vegetable material identified as marijuana in plain view. Officers then obtained a search warrant for controlled substances. During the course of the search, officers located one rifle in close proximity of several baggies of green vegetable material in a shed. In addition, a white bucket approximately half full of green vegetable material was located in the shed.
In a camper trailer, officers located a set of digital scales in a drawer. Officers also saw sandwich baggies on a table with green vegetable material residue. The green vegetable material weighed more than 4 ounces and weighed less than 25 pounds.
Wolfe is charged with felony counts of being a felon in possession of firearms, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
His bond was set at $50,000, and he is set to appear in Izard County Circuit Court later this month.
