Less than a month after his arrest and being charged on 10 counts of incest and a single count of second-degree sexual assault, 34-year-old David Alan Hoolihan of Summit has pled guilty and is awaiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Online court records indicate Hoolihan entered his guilty plea to the incest charges during his first appearance in Marion County Circuit Court last Wednesday before Judge Gordon Webb. He was sentenced to 10 years in the DOC. Hoolihan entered a no contest plea to the sexual assault charge.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Hoolihan was taken into custody, after a Marion County Sheriffs deputy responded to an incident regarding sexual abuse and a domestic dispute at a residence along Oak Street in Summit.
The deputy arrived to hear shouting coming from inside the residence. Inside, he reportedly found Hoolihan and a 34-year-old female and ordered them to separate.
Hoolihan was advised he would be detained, and the Marion County man reportedly began to pull away from the officer. He was then advised he would be Tased, if he did not comply.
Hoolihan allegedly said he was going to jail anyway for his actions involving a minor female. He also reportedly told the deputy he wanted to talk.
Hoolihan was formally interviewed at the Marion County Sheriffs Office, where he is alleged to have admitted having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female. Online court documents indicate the sexual assault charge is in connection with an alleged incident involving an 11-year-old female.
