A Marion County man, 22-year-old Jason White of Summit, has been sentenced to six years of probation and one year in one of the state’s Community Correction Centers on charges stemming from a vehicle accident earlier this year.

White entered a guilty plea in Marion County Circuit Court last Wednesday before Judge Gordon Webb.

His negotiated plea to felony charges of forgery and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) led to the probation and the year in the CCC.

White was ordered to serve 30 days each in the Marion County jail on charges of DWI-drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the state reduced a charge of furnishing prohibited articles to obstructing government operations, and White was sentenced to another 30 days in jail.

White was arrested in July following a traffic accident when his vehicle reportedly traveled into the air, did a complete rotation and came to rest in a ditch along U.S. Highway 62/412 near Pyatt. During a search of the wrecked vehicle, an Arkansas State Police trooper allegedly found two counterfeit $100 bills in the interior roof area.
