The fourth annual Twin Lakes Thunder Rally held in late October has brought $12,000 to the Bob Davis Veteran Center.

The four-day event features vendors, games, bands, rides, a bike show and a beer garden.

Joaana Baxter-Farris, who serves as the secretary/treasurer of the center’s board, says the event has raised $27,000 for the shelter over the past three years.

The Bob Davis Veteran Center is a full-service, 18-bed center assisting and supporting United States veterans in various levels of need. Its services include a coffee hut with pastries and more, a game area for friendly competition with fellow veterans and others and a job program to assist veterans with resume building, interview skills and more. An Army surplus store is also included and open to the public with proceeds benefiting the veteran center.

The center is located at 429 East Ninth Street in Mountain Home.

The fifth annual Twin Lakes Thunder Rally is set for Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2020 at the Baxter County Fairgrounds.

Organizers are gearing up for next year’s event, calling it the biggest motorcycle rally in Mountain Home.
