MHHS basketball teams continue league play at Greene County Tech

High school basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule, as Mountain Home will have its second consecutive road trip. Conference play continues for the Bombers and Lady Bombers, as they meet Greene County Tech at Paragould.
Mountain Home’s girls are 11-3 on the season and 0-1 in the 5A-East. The Lady Bombers started league action Friday with a nine-point loss at Jonesboro. Tech is 3-10 and 0-1. The Lady Eagles are coming off a 12-point loss at Nettleton.
The Mountain Home boys are 9-5 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Bombers fell to Jonesboro four nights ago. Tech is currently ranked eighth overall and second in Class 5A by the Arkansas Sports Media. The Golden Eagles edged out Nettleton on Friday.
The junior varsity games are scheduled for 5 p.m. The varsity contests will begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Elsewhere in the 5A-East, Searcy travels to West Memphis, Jonesboro makes the trip to Paragould, and Nettleton heads to Marion.

In other high school action, Mountain Home Christian Academy hosts Bakersfield, Norfork travels to Brockwell to face Izard County, Flippin makes the short trip to Yellville-Summit, Bruno-Pyatt entertains Western Grove, Lutie heads to Forsyth to take on Riverview Christian, Viola is home against Calico Rock, Salem will send three boys’ teams to Melbourne, three Mammoth Spring boys’ teams will travel to Paragould to play Crowley’s Ridge Academy, St. Joe hosts Omaha, Marshall makes the trip to Bergman, Mountain View heads to Rose Bud, Rural Special entertains Wonderview, Lead Hill travels to Jasper, and Valley Springs is home against Huntsville.
