Saturday will begin a busy week of basketball, as Calico Rock hosts the Izard County Invitational Tournament in the Harold Ray Jeffrey Gymnasium. In the junior girls’ games, Mammoth Spring and the host Junior Lady Pirates tip off at 10 a.m., Salem meets Cave City at noon, and Izard County faces Rural Special at 2. On the junior boys’ bracket, Mammoth Spring takes on Cave City at 11, and Salem will play Izard County at 1. Both of Calico Rock’s high school teams will be paired with Cave City starting with the boys at 3.
