For residents living in Marion County, it may not always be easy to keep up with different activities, events or other items of interest in the area. For example, if a resident lives in or near Yellville, he or she may not be fully aware of what could be occurring in Bull Shoals. In 2017, Marion County Community Services began a project with the city of Yellville known as the Marion County Community Partners Program.
The website marioncountypartners.com was designed by Dominator Websites of Flippin. Stacy Foster owns Dominator Websites with her husband, and she says one of the points of the Marion County Partners’ action plan, put together by Yellville Mayor Shawn Lane, was to increase awareness of events, activities and opportunities in the area.

The other point of the plan is effective communication of rental housing availability. In the near future, the website will have a directory of landlords for possible renters to contact and learn if any residences are available for rent.
Foster says she was impressed by how the program went from being centered around Yellville to including other areas of Marion County.

In addition to the Community Partners Program, Foster says Marion County Community Services is in the midst of an Acre-by-Acre Campaign. The organization has been looking at purchasing 24 acres of land off Arkansas Highway 235 behind the Eagle Nest Lodge just outside of Yellville for the possible construction of a community center.
