An Ozark County man was injured Sunday morning when his leg was run over by a moving vehicle on a boat ramp on the North Fork River. Fifty-five-year-old Daniel Hamby of Dora was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were described as minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a boat had been unloaded from a pickup truck 1 mile south of Tecumseh on Ozark County Road 551B. Hamby was a pedestrian on the boat ramp when a mechanical issue caused the truck to roll backward and over his leg.
The truck was totaled in the 5:30 a.m. accident. Its driver was unknown at the time of the report.
