The search continues for a man who fled from Mountain Home Police Thursday when officers attempted to make a traffic stop near Casey’s General Store on State Highway 5 North.
According to the probable cause affidavit, when officers attempted the stop at 3:13 p.m., 42-year-old Michael Vetor pulled his vehicle into the store’s parking lot and fled on foot. One of the officers recognized Vetor, and a female passenger in the abandoned vehicle confirmed his identity. The unsuccessful manhunt was conducted north of Hickory Park and south of Highway 5. It continued west of this area and was completed near Baxter Regional Medical Center without locating Vetor.Officers also discovered the car had a fictitious tag, and the license plate tab had been stolen from another vehicle in Mountain Home. Vetor also has a suspended driver’s license.

Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel is asking anyone with information of Vetor’s location to call his department at 870-425-6336 or any law enforcement agency.

Online court documents indicate Vetor has an open case from February when he was charged with two felony drug offenses and a misdemeanor count of obstruction of governmental operations. His address is listed in those documents as Melbourne.

According to the affidavit in that case, officers were dispatched to the same convenience store for a welfare check on a male, later identified as Vetor, who was passed out in a car at a gas pump. He had reportedly been there for several hours.

The misdemeanor charge stems from Vetor reportedly providing officers with a false name and date of birth.

In 2018, Vetor was arrested by Mountain Home Police after he was found hiding in the bathroom of a local apartment. He later pled guilty to drug-related charges and was given three years in prison.
