Four Baxter County residents have been arrested after law enforcement found drugs packaged for sale, guns and cash at a house on Arkansas Highway 5 just north of Midway. Arrested were 55-year-old Jamey Darren Roof, 56-year-old Denny Leon Kasinger and 46-year-old Lance Edward Allen of Mountain Home and 53-year-old Karli Jane Rosa of Lakeview.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says authorities conducted a search of Kasinger’s residence Thursday morning. Roof, Allen and Rosa were also at the house when law enforcement arrived.
During the search, officers found over 30 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of marijuana pre-packaged for sale, a loaded rifle and numerous magazines, over $5,500 in cash, digital scales, other marijuana-related substances, baggies and other items used for processing and packaging both methamphetamine and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia including smoking devices and syringes.
Law enforcement took Rosa to her residence in Lakeview, where they found additional pre-packaged marijuana, scales and baggies.
While being booked into the Baxter County Detention Center, jailers found another baggie of methamphetamine concealed in a body orifice.
Roof is facing eight felony charges and is being held on a $30,000 bond. Kasinger, Rosa and Allen each have seven felony charges with bond set at $25,000 each.
Agencies involved in the searches and arrests were the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police Department and the 14th 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force with its drug sniffing canine, Rocky.
