The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas will have a mass distribution of fresh produce Wednesday from 2-6 at First United Methodist Church, located at the corner of West Road and Bucher Drive in Mountain Home. The fresh produce will be free to local residents in need.
The distribution is made possible through the Walmart Retail Donation program, and a donation from the North Central Board of Realtors is intended to assist local families in need related to the COVID-19 crisis. Food Bank CEO Jeff Quick states, “We’re blessed with incredible partners like Walmart and our local realtors and appreciate their willingness to help us help our community in this way.”
The semi-trailer load of fresh produce will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is the third semi-trailer load of produce brought into the region by the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas in the past two months in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
