Ordinances concerning the budget and personnel will make up the agenda when the Marion County Quorum Court meets in a special session Wednesday evening at 6.Two ordinances are sponsored by the county’s budget committee. One would delete all open positions paid from the general fund, and no raises would be given until further notice. Another ordinance would direct a 10% cut to the general fund.
The only remaining ordinance, sponsored by District 9 Justice of the Peace Joyce McCalla, would appropriate over $47,000 to the county’s 911 fund.
The meeting will be held in the Marion County Courthouse.
