
High school football dominates the local Friday schedule, as Mountain Home will play its first home game of 2020. It will also be Senior Night for football, cheerleading, dance, band and ROTC, as the Bombers meet Nettleton.
Mountain Home is 0-1 on the season. The Bombers suffered a two-touchdown loss last week at the hands of Harrison. Nettleton comes in from Jonesboro with a mark of 1-1. The Raiders ended up falling at Pocahontas last Friday.
Bombers’ head coach Steve Ary says Nettleton has a good rushing attack his team must slow down.

Yellville-Summit will wrap up its season-opening two-game home stand on Friday. The Panthers will look to remain unbeaten, as they face Corning.
Yellville-Summit has a record of 1-0. The Panthers began the year a week ago by invoking the mercy rule on Two Rivers, but head coach Lucas Morris says there are some things for the team to work on for that trend to continue.

Corning is 0-1 on the season. The Bobcats were routed last week on their home field by Cave City.
Kickoff at Panther Field is set for 7 p.m.
Also on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem hosts Dover, Melbourne entertains Cave City, Mountain View is home against Hector for homecoming, and Harrison travels to Siloam Springs. In eight-man football, Marshall makes the trip to Decatur.
This is also the third week of the season in Missouri. Among area schools, West Plains heads to Rolla, Hollister hosts Seneca, Forsyth travels to Clever, Branson entertains Carl Junction, Ava is home against Mountain Grove, Willow Springs makes the trip to Cabool, and Mountain View-Liberty hosts Thayer.
