A Mountain Home man killed when he was struck by a tractor-trailer early Tuesday morning in Hollister has been identified.
The Hollister Police Department says the man is 50-year-old Joey Ray Horn, and next of kin has now been notified. Authorities say Horn was struck in the passing lane of the northbound section of U.S. Highway 65, a divided highway, when he entered the roadway from the median, about 5:50 a.m.
Police say no charges will be filed in connection with the accident — which occurred between the 9- and 10-mile marker — as the truck driver had “little or no time to react during the crash.”
