The Mountain Home Public School District has announced the first COVID-19 positive results on the campuses of Mountain Home High School and Mountain Home Junior High.

In a Monday afternoon update to the school district’s website, officials say one student has tested positive at the high school, resulting in six additional high school students and one middle school student being quarantined, due to being identified as probable close contacts.

The positive result from Mountain Home Junior High involved just one student, but is creating an even larger quarantine pool. Eleven students at the junior high and two more high school students must now quarantine, after being identified as probable close contacts.

Another positive result has been reported from the Mountain Home Kindergarten, as one staff member has been stricken. This case will cause two kindergarten students to quarantine due to their possible exposure.
