A Mountain Home woman has been arrested, after she allegedly tried to run her father over with her vehicle. Forty-year-old Mandi Ruth Thompson was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Mountain Home police were notified by an off-duty officer who asked for assistance at a residence on East Sixth Street. While police were on the phone with the officer, they could hear a female screaming and a vehicle horn sounding continuously.

When officers arrived, they found Thompson standing outside of her vehicle yelling at her father.

The off-duty officer says he observed Thompson try to run the victim over with her vehicle in the driveway of the residence. A witness who was standing on the corner of the street also confirmed what had happened.

Thompson has been released from the Baxter County Detention Center after posting a $15,000 bond.
