CONWAY, Ark. (AP) – Republican Rep. French Hill and Democratic challenger Joyce Elliott have clashed over President Donald Trump’s tax cut and the federal health in their only debate of a congressional race in Arkansas that’s turned unexpectedly tight. Hill and Elliott met Monday for the debate televised by Arkansas PBS in the race for the 2nd District seat that includes the Little Rock area. Hill criticized Elliott over her opposition to the 2017 tax cuts. Elliott criticized Hill for his votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The debate included several safeguards because of the coronavirus pandemic.
