The Mountain Home High School Class of 1969 presented the Mountain Home Education Foundation (MHEF) with an $800 donation earlier this month to support the educational journeys of Mountain Home Public Schools students.A letter to the foundation accompanied the donation and stated, “The Mountain Home High School Class of 1969 wants to thank the Foundation for its dedicated support of the Mountain Home School System. It is because of this support that the class has voted to support you.”The letter also included a thank you to the MHEF for recognizing their classmate Jeff Koenig who was inducted into the MHEF Hall of Honor in 2015.

Jennifer Seaman, executive director of the MHEF, said she was honored to accept the donation on behalf of the board of directors. “This was such a pleasant surprise,” she says. “Members of the class of 1969 live all over this country, but they still appreciate the impact that Mountain Home Public Schools made on their lives, and we are grateful they have never forgotten where they got their starts.”

Seaman adds that this gift came at a fantastic time, as the MHEF began a matching campaign for donations on Dec. 1. A group of donors has pledged to match up to $7,500 in donations to the foundation during the first three weeks of December.
