MH sweeps junior high games over Batesville

Mountain Home was able to pick up a four-game sweep Monday hosting Batesville for junior high basketball.

In the freshman boys’ game, the Junior Bombers were able to get past the Junior Pioneers 26-23. Braiden Dewey paced Mountain Home with 14 points. The Junior Bombers’ record is now 6-4.

Mountain Home also squeaked by Batesville 30-27 in the freshman girls’ contest. The Junior Lady Bombers were led by Ashlyn Estes with 11 points. Mountain Home improves to 13-2 on the year.

The eighth grade girls’ game was even tighter, as Mountain Home edged out Batesville 13-12. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers are now 5-2 on the season.

The evening began with the seventh grade boys’ game, as Mountain Home defeated Batesville 38-21. Drew Haney was the Seventh Grade Bombers’ leading scorer with 12 points.

Mountain Home’s freshman teams and eighth grade girls will host Douglas MacArthur on Thursday. The seventh grade boys will entertain Ozark Mountain on Saturday.
