
The Mountain Home City Council will consider adoption of the 2021 budget for the city and hear a pair of ordinances in Thursday’s regular monthly meeting.City Treasurer Marshella Norell will present the budget for adoption to the council. Water and Sewer Director Alma Clark will present a pair of ordinances waiving competitive bidding for two pieces of equipment for her department.The first ordinance would waiving bidding and authorize the purchase of a aerator/mixer for the water treatment plant, while the second would waive bidding and authorize purchase of contractor services for placement of a disconnect switch and manual transfer switch on the water plant intake generator electrical system at the plant. Clark will also present a depreciation and capital money request.
Two other water-related issues will be on the agenda, with Clark joined by Kirby Rowland of Garver & Garver, LLC, to allow the city to enter agreements for professional services. The agreements would cover a risk and resilience assessment, as well as a Lake Norfork water allocation request.
The council will also hear reports from the street and water committees.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.
