A late afternoon fire caused damage to a Mountain Home apartment on Thursday. No injuries were reported from the fire at the apartment at 777 Arkansas Highway 201 North.
According to a Mountain Home fire department press release, the apartment owned by Taylor Murray sustained 95% fire damage, 100% smoke damage and 10% water damage. The fire started in the kitchen, but its cause is undetermined.
The alarm came in just after 4 p.m., and seven personnel were on the scene for just over an hour with two engine companies and a support vehicle. Seven other personnel were on standby.
