An inmate in the Baxter County Detention Center has picked up additional charges after he allegedly stole drugs from the jail nurse’s medication cart. Thirty-year-old Timothy Allan Clark of Calico Rock was being held for the Arkansas Department of Corrections following his arrest in February for non-payment of fines and revocation of a bench warrant. He picked up six new charges, including five felonies, for the incident in the jail.

According to the probable cause statement, the jail nurse was distributing medications to inmates when he discovered approximately 26 doses of Suboxone missing from the medication cart. After searching the area for the missing drugs, officers began to review security video where it was determined the medication cart had been stored adjacent to the door leading to the G hallway after the morning medications had been distributed and prior to the afternoon distribution.

Video shows Clark exiting B pod and going to the medication cart where he opened the top drawer, removed something and puts it in his pants. The nurse confirmed the drawer that was opened is where the missing medication is kept.

Allen is charged with felony counts of possession of a schedule III controlled substance with purpose to deliver, delivery of a schedule III controlled substance, third degree escape, breaking or entering and theft of controlled substances along with a misdemeanor count of impairing the operation of a vital public facility. Bond on the new charges is $25,000.
