Baseball and softball make up much of the local Friday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team will be back at McClain Park as they welcome Fayetteville to the Twin Lakes Area. The varsity game begins at 4:30 at Pitts Field followed by the junior varsity contest.
The 2A-1 District Baseball Tournament will come to an end at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Cotter faces Life Way Christian in the third place game, and Flippin takes on Yellville-Summit for the title. Both games are at 4 p.m.
The 1A-2 District Tournament will wrap up at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. Action starts at 10 a.m. between Norfork and Calico Rock, and the winner plays Viola at 3. Izard County will be paired with the host Eagles at 12:30. The championship game is set for 5:30.
The 1A-1 East District Tournament will hold its championship game at Jasper. Ozark Mountain goes up against Lead Hill at 6:30.
Elsewhere, Bakersfield hosts Willow Springs, Gainesville entertains Fordland and Crane,
Mountain Home’s freshman baseball team will be at Kickapoo High School in Springfield for two games. The Junior Bombers meet the host Chiefs at 4 and Willard at 5.
The Mountain Home High School softball team will be back on the road as they face Paragould. The varsity game starts at 4:30, and the J.V. contest will follow.

Two local softball teams will square off in the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament at Tuckerman. Salem and Melbourne will start at 6 p.m.
Mammoth Spring will be in Armorel for its first game in the 1A-3 District Tournament. The Lady Bears will take the field at 2 p.m.
In other high school softball, Dora is home against Van Buren.
