Baseball and softball make up the local Friday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team will be in Springdale for an outing with Har-Ber. The varsity game begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Flippin will continue hosting the Class 2A West Regional Baseball Tournament at Lester White Field at Cooper Park in Mountain Home. In Friday’s semifinals, Yellville-Summit meets Mansfield at noon, and Flippin faces Mountainburg at 2:30.
The semifinals of the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament will be held at Izard County High School in Brockwell. The host Cougars take on Mammoth Spring at noon, and Viola plays Greers Ferry West side at 2:30.
Salem will compete in the semifinals of the Class 2A Central Regional Tournament at Tuckerman. The Greyhounds will be paired with St. Joseph from Conway at 2:30.
Harrison continues to host the Class 4A North Regional Tournament at the Equity Bank Sports Complex. The Goblins meet Shiloh Christian in the semifinals at noon.
In other high school baseball, Bakersfield travels to Dora.
Mountain Home’s junior varsity softball team will be on the road for a doubleheader with Paragould. The first game gets underway at 4:30.

Two local teams will be back in Tuckerman for the semifinals of the Class 2A Central Regional Tournament. Melbourne plays Quitman at noon, and Salem will be matched up with the host Lady Bulldogs at 2:30.

Valley Springs will host the semifinals of the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. The Lady Tigers meet Paris at noon.
Jasper will take part in the semifinals of the Class 1A Region 1 Tournament at Scranton. The Lady Pirates take on Western Yell County at noon.
