SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) – A judge has found a Springfield man guilty of first-degree murder in the 2019 killing of another man in a hotel room.
Seth Gomez, 21, was convicted Monday for the death of 29-year-old Calvin Allen Jr., of Springfield, television station KYTV reported.
Officers responding to a call for a welfare check in March 2019 found Allen’s body at the Ozark Inn. Investigators said Gomez was 19 when he stabbed Allen in the head and neck, then shot Allen in the back.
Gomez faces life in prison without the possibility of parole when he’s sentenced at a later date.
