Heath Sanders will not take the stage Saturday night to help kick off the Baxter Summer Concert Series, but the show will still go on as planned with Lily Rose and Jackson Dean performing.

The City of Mountain Home announced Thursday morning that Sanders, the show’s headliner, would not be able to perform as planned Saturday night at Hickory Park. Sanders’ supporting acts would still take the Farmers and Merchants Bank Stage Saturday evening, city officials said.

Admission to the show is free, with attendees encouraged to bring their lawn chairs. Park gates will open at 6 Saturday night with live music beginning at 7.

Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams and Baxter Summer Concert Series coordinator Rickey Crawford are scheduled to stop by 99.7 The Boot 99.7 Friday morning to visit with Brad Haworth about the concert series.

Three more dates make up the Summer Concert Series schedule released earlier this spring. Elvie Shane and Larry Fleet will co-headline a show the night of June 12, and The Steel Woods will perform on July 17. Red Light Runner will close out the 2021 schedule on Aug. 14.

Sanders’ appearance would be rescheduled for later this summer, officials said.
