The Gainesville High School baseball team had to wait three days last week to play their district championship game. Now rain has affected the team again after Wednesday evening’s Class 2 State Tournament game at home against Marionville was halted in the fourth inning because of rain with the Comets leading the Bulldogs 1-0.

The game is scheduled to be resumed at 5:30 Thursday evening in Forsyth.

The winner will face Putnam County in the state semifinals Monday night in Ozark.
