A man from Melbourne has died following a motorcycle crash in Independence County. The Arkansas State Police identify the victim as 52-year-old Guy W. Saber.
The ASP report indicates Saber was traveling on U.S. Highway 167 in Southside when he was negotiating a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle left the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne and struck a utility pole.
Saber was taken to White River Medical Center in Batesville where he was pronounced dead.
The crash happened Monday evening at 7:02.
