Thursday baseball results include Lockeroom suffering 1st loss in Oklahoma tourney

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team suffered its first loss of the season as they began action in the Glen Winget Memorial Tournament Thursday in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Pittsburg, Kansas, beat the Lockeroom in walkoff fashion by a score of 6-5.
Reed Ellison suffered the defeat as he pitched 1 2/3 relief innings. Will Uchtman was on the mound for the first five innings and struck out three batters. Logan Walker led the Mountain Home offense with three hits and two RBIs, and Tyler Guffey added two hits.
The Lockeroom falls to 2-1 on the season.

The Hollister High School baseball team ended up in fourth place in Missouri’s Class 4 State Tournament. The Tigers wrapped up the season as they fell to Lafayette from St. Joseph 12-2 in five innings. Hollister’s final record is 25-7.
