Lockeroom tops Branson, sweeps through pool play in Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team was able to sweep through pool play in the Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic at Cooper Park. The Lockeroom shut out Branson Saturday night by a final of 8-0.

Tucker Koester picked up the win as he pitched five innings and struck out eight batters. Tyler Guffey led the Mountain Home offense with three hits and five RBIs, Logan Walker and Carter Graves each added two hits, and Keegan Rickman drove in two runs.

The Lockeroom improves to 11-3 on the season.

In Saturday’s other games, North Central Arkansas fell to Eureka, Missouri, 7-4, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, defeated Batesville 8-2, Paragould topped Pontotoc, Mississippi, 9-1, and Russellville beat the Tropics from Scott City, Missouri, 10-1.
