A crash Sunday night at Cloud 9 Ranch in Ozark County has sent one person to the hospital and one to jail. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 45-year-old James Hays of Willow Springs was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains with serious injuries. Fifty-nine-year-old Anthony Thornton of Pomona was arrested on charges of felony DWI with serious physical injury and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
According to the MSHP report, Thornton was attempting to negotiate a curve when his truck went off the right side of the roadway, struck two trees and overturned.
The crash happened at 10:10 Sunday night.
