
Multiple news outlets in Missouri are reporting the body a missing Taney County man has been located in a burned out car in remote Boone County.
Eric Williamson was reported missing on June 15 from the Branson-Hollister area and multiple law-enforcement agencies have been following leads in an attempt to find Williamson, resulting in his burned-out vehicle being found in Arkansas.
Law enforcement believes human remains found inside the car are those of Williamson.
An ongoing investigation uncovered Williamson and another unidentified man had been involved in a verbal altercation on Concord Avenue in Branson. The man allegedly shot Williamson during the altercation. A man allegedly involved in the altercation was arrested Wednesday in Arkansas on outstanding warrants. Detectives from Taney County interviewed the individual and collected evidence.
No suspect in the crime has been identified and authorities say charges are pending.
