After a day off Thursday, the St. Louis Cardinals will return to action Friday afternoon with the start of a three-game series in Chicago, their last series before the All-Star break.
The Cardinals are tied with the Cubs for third place in the National League Central Division, nine and a half games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
Wade LeBlanc (0-1) makes his second start for the Cardinals since signing as a free agent. Kyle Hendricks (10-4) goes for the Cubs.
